News concerning the NEW Visual Liturgy Live
Visual Liturgy Live was previewed last week at the Diocesan Liturgical Committees’ Annual
Day Conference, held at the University of Notre Dame in London.
The conference featured a presentation from the Bishop of Wakefield on “A
Strategy for Liturgical Formation,” and the afternoon of the conference
was taken up with a number of workshops in which the DLC’s representatives
were invited to discuss the pressing issues of liturgical formation in areas
such as “fresh expressions of church,” “traditional expressions
of church,” “childrens’ worship,” and so on.
Liturgical formation is the principal concern of the new Commission’s
agenda. Peter Moger, the Church’s National Worship Development Officer,
has talked of his hope that “the Church…will re-discover the
power of worship as something which converts and builds up Christian disciples.” In
this context, Church House Publishing were delighted to preview Visual Liturgy
Live; Its new content, service planning features, and regular updates will
play a key role in keeping service planners up-to-date with liturgical content
and formation material.
