Most of you will be aware that if you use the Help menu in Visual Liturgy, and click on Visual Liturgy online, you will see the Visual Liturgy website. VL Live and VL4 each have their own websites and support forums. VL Live users, and those of you who are new to any version of Visual Liturgy, may not have explored the Visual Liturgy Live support forums yet, though, and we’d like to encourage you to do so. Friday, June 29th, 2007Visual Liturgy Online Update available
Tuesday, June 12th, 2007If you are running Visual Liturgy Live, please use Help – Online Update to download and install the latest version. There are three updates available:
1. Software update. Fixes several minor problems which have been reported.
2. Help update. Help is still under construction, but this update improves on the build which shipped on the CD.
3. Content update. Times and Seasons material is easier to find and a couple of templates have been added.
Please watch for more updates in due course. By default, Visual Liturgy will check for updates on a weekly basis.
Tip: before installing the software update, close the VL Agent (right-click the VL icon at bottom right of your screen and choose Exit). This avoids the need to restart Windows after running setup.

Tuesday Tip: How to register Visual Liturgy Live
Tuesday, June 5th, 2007Today’s tip is for those trying to register their copy of Visual Liturgy Live.
The best way to do this is by filling in the form in Visual Liturgy Live and registering over the internet. The form will normally pop up each time VLL is loaded if you are un-registered but you can access the registration form through the file menu in Visual Liturgy itself.
Please make sure:
- You are filling in your Visual Liturgy Live serial number into the allocated field. The serial number can be found on the label attached to the CD envelope in the Visual Liturgy box and always begins VL50CW… Please do not enter your serial number for Visual Liturgy 4 as this will not be successful.
- You are not filling in the key number field at the bottom of the screen. This will get filled in once the form has been submitted and registration has been successful.
- Your password meets the guidelines for security; it should contain between 6 and 12 characters including at least one upper-case character, and one number.
- You are registered before you try to set your team licence as you need your log in name and password to be able to log into the Visual Liturgy Live website. To find out how to upgrade to a team licence please read the previous blog entry ‘Setting up your team licences’.
Setting up your team licences
Monday, June 4th, 2007Now that you have registered your copy of Visual Liturgy Live, you may want to upgrade to a team licence.
Here are the instructions for setting up your team on the new Visual Liturgy Live website:
1.Register your copy of Visual Liturgy Live using the form in the program.
2.Go to the VL Live website www.visualliturgylive.net and log in using the username and password with which you regsitered.
3.Click on the link for ‘Subscription Management’ in the left-hand navigation. You will then see the ‘My subscriptions’ page.
4.Click on the link ‘View Upgrade Options’ and the available options will appear.
Select the appropriate licenses for your Average Weekly Attendence and click on the ‘Upgrade’ link.
5.Fill out the payment details and click ‘Purchase Upgrade’.
6.You will see the ‘Payment Complete’ screen and a thank you message together with your order reference number. Please make a note of this number and click to return to the ‘Subscription Management’ page where you will now see a link to ‘View Team Licences’.
7.Click this link to generate new licenses for your team. You will see any existing team licences that you may already have generated. To generate your first or additional team licences click on ‘generate new team licence code’.
8.You will now create a user profile for the new licence. Please note that you are now entering details for your new team members profile.
9.Enter your original VL Live licence code in the first line, followed by the details for your new team member. Each team member must have a unique login name and password. When you are finished click ‘add new user’.
10.Once you have successfully created a licence for a new team member you can return to the ‘Subscription Mangement’ page to view your licences and generate more if required.
First major update for VL Live
Friday, June 1st, 2007We are pleased to be able to provide more information about the first major update for Visual Liturgy Live. As promised, there will be a number of bug-fixes including
A handful of users have reported issues with the Gill Sans font and we have a support-forum entry to help with this problem.
We expect to finish testing this update on Monday, and therefore to release it on Tuesday. If it is ready sooner, we will release it sooner, but we will make an announcement whenever and as soon as it is ready for you to download.
