When Church House Publishing was talking with users ahead of the redesign of Visual Liturgy, one message that came through loud and clear was that users wanted to do more than just work with one service at a time.

The new Services planner in Visual Liturgy gives users easy access to all their saved services in a straightforward tabular format. Users can view and work with their services, making changes in the table without necessarily having to open a service in its own window. Combining with the personalization features in About my church, the Planner can include information on people and tasks as well as liturgical elements of the services.

If users do want to open their services to look at the information in a little more detail using the various Service designer views available, a simple double click will take them straight there.

Services can be copied onto new dates so that regular services in a church schedule can be repeated quickly and easily. Meanwhile, the 'spreadsheet'-style format can be used to filter the information by different columns or even drag columns to the top of the chart to group the information by that particular column (see Image 2 to the left).

The layout of the Services planner is totally configurable. Users can decide which columns are displayed and even have different 'layouts' saved so that they can easily switch between different views. Finally, the Services planner can be printed to provide a useful hard copy report of the information displayed.
