Software demo

Creating a service

The following sequence shows how Visual Liturgy helps you plan and prepare services. This demonstration is taken from Visual Liturgy 3.0 for Common Worship.

Choosing a template

If you choose to start a new service, you are taken to a screen where you can choose a service template. The available service templates are categorised and there is even a Frequently Used Services category for you to collect your most popular templates together.

If you wish, elsewhere in the software, you can customize this list even further by adding your own categories and your own templates.

Choosing a date

Once you have selected a service template, you are asked to provide a date for your service. By selecting a date, you enable Visual Liturgy to consult the lectionary and automatically insert the right material into your service. Where there is a choice of more than one possible text, you are prompted to decide which one you would like to use.

You can also leave the service without a date, if you prefer.
