Resources for Visual Liturgy 3.0 for Common Worship

Tips for downloading

We recommend that when you download any of these files, choose to save them to your hard disk. In order to save the files to your hard drive (on a PC), right-click on the download link and choose 'save target as' (if using Internet Explorer) or 'save link as' (if using Netscape).

If you save the file to your Desktop, it will be easy to find when you come to do the installation. Even the largest of the downloads should take less than fifteen minutes to complete on an average 56kbps modem.

Version 3.1 service pack

The service pack installs Visual Liturgy 3.1. It will only run if you already have Visual Liturgy 3.0 installed. It will not upgrade direct from any other previous version.

This service pack fixes a number of known issues and adds some new functionality. A full listing of the changes is provided.

ECUSA Psalter for version 3.1

This module installs the ECUSA Psalter as it was used in Visual Liturgy 2.0. When it is installed, you will be invited to choose between Common Worship or ECUSA versions of the Psalm for most Principal services. The Common Worship psalms will not be affected by adding this installation.

Please note that the update to version 3.1 must be installed before you can download and install the ECUSA Psalter. Please also note that you cannot uninstall the ECUSA psalms once added, except by repeating the Visual Liturgy 3.0 installation as a clean install (effectively starting again with a new installation).

MIDI Files for version 3.1

Thanks to the work of Steve Benner and Peter Furber, we are able to offer a module of enhanced tunes which feature MIDI music files. This means that your options to play tunes from within Visual Liturgy have been greatly expanded with this module. This is not for use in worship, but as a means of identifying the tune. Several hundred tunes are included.

Please note that the update to version 3.1 must be installed before you can download and install the MIDI file module.

This small update corrects a misprinted NIV reading in Jeremiah 31.
