Why is only the Common Worship Psalter included in Visual Liturgy 4.0 for Common Worship?

The Common Worship Psalter was specifically prepared for use in Common Worship and the General Synod agreed that this should be the version of the Psalter included in all official Common Worship publications.

Visual Liturgy is effectively one of the official forms of Common Worship, and any material in Visual Liturgy which is published in Common Worship appears in the form in which it is also published in print.

It is true that any Psalter which is not prohibited may be used in public worship, but the General Synod's decision was clear as to which of the many versions available should appear in official publications.
