User supportFrequently asked questionsThe lectionary in Visual Liturgy 1.x has run out!Why does the lectionary run out?The lectionary included in Visual Liturgy 1.x does not extend past the year 2000. With the introduction of Common Worship in November 2000, both the ASB lectionary and the ASB services presented with the three year lectionary in Visual Liturgy 1.x are out-of-date. It was expected that most users would migrate to Common Worship, and so data beyond 2000 (when the ASB's authorization ceased) was not included. But I want to keep using Visual Liturgy! As a special service to our users, we have decided to provide a module to extend the lectionary in Visual Liturgy 1.x. The lectionary included in this module is the Common Worship lectionary, as there are no lectionary provisions beyond 2000 in the ASB lectionary.
By downloading the module you agree to the condition that you will not copy/give the link to others. If you know of other people who need to extend their lectionary in this way, please ask them to contact us directly. How do I install the lectionary update module? To use the update:
This will extend the Common Worship lectionary (not ASB) to 2010. We will not be providing any further extensions in future. Should I think about upgrading to Visual Liturgy 4.0?Provided you are running Windows® 98 or above, we would strongly encourage you to migrate to the new Visual Liturgy 4.0 product, as it has the correct, authorized services for use with the Common Worship lectionary as well as extensions to the lectionary and calendar itself, which now covers the full range of Holy Days, Festivals and Commemorations. You can find out more about Visual Liturgy 4.0 for Common Worship in the VLography section of this web site. Please note that Visual Liturgy 4.0 will not run on Windows® 3.1 or Windows® 95, and is only supplied on CD-ROM.
